Cowboys at Commanders Has Fans Asking About Jayden Daniels

Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels was flying high prior to the Week 7 clash against the Carolina Panthers, but then he suffered a rib injury.

While Daniels didn't miss any games, the injury clearly impacted him, and as a result, his production dropped. His rushing attempts are a big blinking light as to one thing that has drastically changed since the injury.

Daniels has a combined 23 yards from 10 carries in his last two games after having over 30 rush yards in every game but one prior to the injury.

With the Commanders now on a two-game losing streak and Daniels coming off a poor performance against the Philadelphia Eagles, offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury remained tight-lipped over any changes he's made to the offense, with Daniels clearly not 100 percent.

"I'm not going to divulge what we did while he was, I would say more banged up but hopefully we play better this week ... I just say that," Kingsbury said.

And that has Commanders fans all saying the same thing as this weekend's visit from the hated Dallas Cowboys is on tap.

With the Commanders now at 7-4 on the season and Daniels looking a little shaky in Kingsbury's offense as his dual-threat ability has disappeared in the last fortnight, it does make fans wonder how the next two weeks will go before Washington's bye.

Right in the thick of playoff contention, the Commanders can't afford to have many more slip-ups and Daniels needs to be the one carrying this offense as he did in the early stages of the season.

But from the outside, at least, his rib injury might still be impacting what Kingsbury is able/wants to call, and perhaps that is why we have seen the offense not perform to its standards set early in the year.

Kingsbury hopes Washington plays better against the Dallas Cowboys, and part of that is Daniels showing little to no effects of his lingering rib injury.
