Authorities ask for public's help to identify suspect in hit-and-run incident

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Authorities are asking the public for help in finding a vehicle and driver who is accused of crashing into a power pole and then driving away from the scene.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office said at 6:01 a.m. on November 16, their deputies responded to a crash in the area of the 400-block of Clark Line Road in Paducah where they said a vehicle crashed into a power pole and then left the scene.

The sheriff's office said the vehicle was going at a high rate of speed when it hit the pole and it resulted in a power outage to the area.

Shortly thereafter, crews with the Paducah Power were able to restore power to the neighborhood.

The sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of a dark gray SUV which is missing their passenger side mirror and has a broken window on the passenger's front side.

If anyone has any information in regards to this vehicle or the driver, you are encouraged to call the McCracken County Sheriff's Office at 270-444-4719.
