Hackers Breach Andrew Tate's Online 'University,' Exposing 800,000 Users

The website is 'hilariously insecure,' according to the hackers.

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate's self-dubbed "online university" has been hacked, The Daily Dot reports, citing information shared by the hackers.

Tate's website, "The Real World," previously called Hustler's University, sells courses on fitness, finance, content creation, AI, etc. It charges a monthly fee of about $50. The website currently has 113,000 active users. But its security is "hilariously insecure," according to the hackers, who described "hacktivism" as their motive.

The hackers broke into the website on Thursday when Tate was streaming an episode of his show "Emergency Meeting" on Rumble. They accessed the platform's primary chatroom and uploaded new emojis, such as a transgender flag, a feminist fist, and an AI-generated image of Tate draped in a rainbow flag, among others. They also temporarily banned some users, deleted attachments, and crashed users' clients.

They also managed to access 794,000 usernames of current and former members, email addresses of nearly 325,000 users, and public and private chats made on the platform. The Daily Dot has shared the leaked email addresses with HaveIBeenPwned, a platform that alerts users when their details are leaked, and DDoSecrets, which hosts leaked datasets in the public interest. They also leaked some of the messages, where users talked about their concerns about the "LGBTQ agenda," "the matrix," and "shootings every day."

This isn't the first time Tate's website data has been leaked. Earlier this year, Cybernews found that around a million users and 22 million messages from The Real World had been exposed.

Tate is a self-described misogynist known for his polarizing opinions online. Tate and his brother Tristan Tate are currently facing trial for human trafficking in Romania. The brothers also have a UK arrest warrant and will be extradited after court proceedings in Romania.
