On 29 and 30 November 2024, heavy rain and floods across Agig locality, Red Sea reportedly displaced 200 households. The floods primarily affected Atriba, Adbona, and Agigtai areas in Agig locality. Field teams estimated that 155 houses were destroyed, while 350 houses were partially damaged. Displaced households sought improvised shelter in open areas and schools, while others stayed with host communities within the same locality.
