In tonight's NCIS: ORIGINS episode, the one thing Franks hated was workplace distractions. He called Lala that once. She was upset by that. She hadn't told anyone when it first happened, but much later on she talked about it with Gibbs.

It could have been months or it could have been years later. She was still upset by it. She told Gibbs that it felt like she had been put in a box and that box was constantly getting smaller.

She was so upset that she started lashing out. She was late to a scene. She had just come back from a bar and Franks gave her lip about wearing lipstick.

Lala had gone out to celebrate Vera's profiling program that night. She also met a guy. They made out. She was enjoying herself and that's why she was late to the scene.

When she did show up, Franks gave her a hard time for being late. Then the lipstick thing. There was also a problem when Lala dropped a tissue on the ground.

The local cop thought that was evidence. He got into a screaming match with Lala about her picking it up and Franks had to break it up. Lala was not herself that night. Frank even asked her what's wrong.

She wouldn't say. She acted like nothing happened. Only she was getting tired of the way she's treated. She felt singled out. They were called to the home of Petty Officer Second Class Greg Piccolo because his neighbors complained about the noise.

The cops showed up and they found Greg's body. It looked like he committed suicide. The medical examiner later determined that it was actually homicide. It was now a murder investigation and still Randy took time to read some of the love letters that the victim got.

They were laughing about what was in those letters when Lala entered the room. Suddenly, they didn't feel comfortable discussing the letters and they didn't want to show them to Lala. She had to wait to read them. She got copies of them the next day.

She also learned that they believe the love letters were written by a man. This theory was backed up when someone called the office. Mary Jo was told by an anonymous male caller that Greg did bad deeds and they should look at where he worked.
