Central Methodist outside hitter Annabelle Maassen was selected to the Heart of America Athletic Conference women's volleyball all-conference first team, the league announced Tuesday.
Maassen (Jefferson City High School), a graduate student this fall, was second on the Eagles this season with 253 kills and 325 digs. She has recorded eight double-doubles, notching a season-best 16 kills in a four-set win against Baker and 17 digs in a three-set sweep of MidAmerica Nazarene.
Maassen was also third on the team with 36 service aces and was fourth with 39 total blocks.
Playing in her fifth season at Central Methodist, Maassen has recorded 984 career kills with the Eagles to go with 1,474 digs.
Maassen is a five-time all-conference honoree, making the all-Heart second team in 2020-21, 2021 and 2022 and the all-Heart first team in 2023 and 2024. She was the co-Heart freshman of the year in 2020-21.
Central Methodist (26-7) is ranked No. 21 in the NAIA top 25 poll and won the conference regular-season title. The Eagles will play No. 18 Nelson (Texas) (29-5) in Saturday's opening round of the NAIA national championships.
