Ana Gasteyer Recalls Accused Creep Sean 'Diddy' Combs Being An "Uncomfortable" Diva On SNL

Consider this a kind of companion piece to something else I wrote today. In short, I enjoy learning about celebrities being decent, even kind, people. It always makes me happy. As an inverse to that stance, I will say that I also enjoy seeing celebrities who are awful get their comeuppance. It's a kind of rare satisfaction, as people who often hit celebrity status can find themselves above repercussions. But once in a blue moon, a truly abhorrent person gets what's coming to them. Currently, that person is Sean Combs.

Combs is currently awaiting trial for sex trafficking and assault. The charges are horrendous and, if he is found guilty, he could face life in prison. Combs had been operating out in the open for decades, and there are a lot of people who should get in trouble for letting him do what he did, but that isn't likely. For now, I'll take celebrities telling stories about his s***ty and cowardly behavior. Cue Ana Gasteyer!

The former SNL star recently appeared on Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers's podcast Las Culturistas podcast. While there, she recalled Combs appearing as a musical guest during her tenure on the show. Mainly, she talks about how Combs demanded the SNL set be closed while he was there. It is absurd behavior, but if I had gotten Biggie and Tupac killed just a couple of years earlier, I wouldn't have wanted people around either.

"He of course shut down the whole building. You can tell the five a**holes in the six years that I was there when they would be like, 'So-and-so is in the building, everybody stay in your dressing rooms!'" Gasteyer explained on the podcast. "Which is applicable if you're a presidential candidate. But apart from that, really it's my house. He demanded a totally closed set." it is your house, Ana Gasteyer.

Gasteyer went on to reveal that the writers decided to prank Combs for his diva behavior, and the rap mogul couldn't handle it. "They were like, 'Wouldn't it be so funny if Ron just went in?'" she noted, referring to Will Ferrel's Mango character. "And he did. He went on down the stairs and he marched right in. And I have the video from the control room where Sean Combs is rapping and behind him, Ron is just walking around looking really disoriented."

Gasteyer continued, saying, "It is the greatest thing that's ever happened, because what a deserved person to have their 'Kashmir' moment interrupted by Ron. And he really did not roll with it. He was very uncomfortable." It sounds like Combs needs to have control of every situation he's in or else he can't hang. Since he (allegedly) took control from so many women and men who he (allegedly) abused, hearing him get read for filth for his cowardice is mighty satisfying.
