Kurono Tokyo is celebrating the opening of its first overseas salon with a one-time-only small-batch timepiece release: the Chronograph P1 Shanghai Special Edition.
Designed with a purist approach, the new reference marks Kurono Tokyo's first date-less chronograph. Its dial exudes a clean yet striking appearance with a palette composed of medium carmine, white and black -- a palette that mirrors the signage of their new salon in Shanghai.
The 12 and 6 indices arrive in the same typeface as the ones used on Kurono Tokyo's Calendrier models. Meanwhile, the rest of the hour markers come in a stud-like applique that's synonymous with their previous chronograph offerings.
The 38mm watch wears slim and elegant on most wrists, accompanied by a classic black leather strap. Geared with 45 hours of power reserve, the watch runs on an in-house modified NE86PWT movement equipped with a vertical clutch and column wheel.
Retailing for $3,590 USD, the Chronograph P1 Shanghai Special Edition will be available to order through Kurono Tokyo's website on November 25, 11 p.m. JST/ 9 a.m. ET. For those who've successfully placed an order, deliveries will begin in mid-December, 2024.
