After 10 and a half months, WellNow Urgent Care will soon resume accepting Excellus BlueCross BlueShield insurance.

WellNow stopped accepting BlueCross BlueShield Jan. 1 after the two sides failed to reach an agreement on reimbursement rates.

According to a statement issued Monday by both companies, a new agree will take effect Friday.

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield (Excellus BCBS) and WellNow Urgent Care (WellNow) have executed a new provider contract agreement. As of Friday, November 15, 2024, WellNow will rejoin the Excellus BCBS provider network.

Members will have in-network access to WellNow's urgent care facilities effective Friday, November 15, 2024.
