SELINSGROVE -- PA Crimestoppers are asking the public if they saw a criminal suspect after an assault five weeks ago.
Think back to the beginning of last month and let troopers know if you might be able to help them solve a road rage case that left the victim unconscious. It happened on October 9 on Route 35 near Selinsgrove, and they want anyone who saw anything back then to call them today.
It started when a utility van traveling on Route 35 passed a dump truck carrying stone. The van's driver reportedly confronted the dump truck driver, claiming a rock from the truck had damaged the van's windshield.
The confrontation quickly escalated, with the van driver allegedly striking the dump truck driver over a dozen times and ultimately choking him until he lost consciousness. Troopers want help finding their suspect, a white male with a large build, dark beard, glasses, and wearing a navy-blue short-sleeved shirt, possibly a work uniform.
The van is described as a white utility vehicle, possibly a Dodge Ram, with a blue rectangular business logo and likely Virginia plates. Witnesses are urged to contact state police or through the PA Tips hotline at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.
