Man allegedly tries to kidnap child walking with father in Brooklyn: NYPD

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- A man attempted to grab a child who was walking down the street with their father in Crown Heights, according to the NYPD.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. near 451 Kingston Avenue on Saturday.

Police arrested the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Stephan Stowe. Stowe was charged with kidnapping in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and harassment.

Police say Stowe has been arrested over 30 times.

Footage of the incident was released by Crown Heights Shomrim Patrol, a neighborhood patrol organization.
