The 2024-25 college basketball season is underway, and this year's non-conference slate is one for the books.

Newly minted Big 12 member Arizona heads up north to visit one of the Big 10's original tenants, taking on Wisconsin to kick off the weekend schedule. Both teams have yet to lose, with the No. 9 Wildcats earning two wins so far -- over Canisius and ODU -- to the Badgers' three -- versus Holy Cross, Montana State and App State.

Wisconsin is unranked but received six votes in the most recent AP Poll, and a win over the Wildcats would certainly improve coach Greg Gard's chances of entering the top 25. On the other hand, second-year Arizona transfer out of UNC Caleb Love is poised to lead his teammates to a deeper NCAA tournament run than their Sweet 16 exit in March.
