McDonald's officially announced the return of the McRib, and this time, it's bringing a saucy new addition with it.

The seasonal sandwich beloved around the globe is expected to be available at participating U.S. locations on or around Tuesday, Dec. 3, according to an official press release.

While some people wait all year for the chain to start serving up the limited-time menu item, this year, fans are also marking their calendars for the week prior, when McDonald's officially drops massive jugs of McRib sauce.

Starting next week and as long as supplies last, McRib lovers can try their best to get their hands on the "Whole Lotta McRib Sauce," a half-gallon jug of the exclusive condiment listed for $19.99.

While the offer may sound too good to be true, with one foodie even taking to Instagram to question its validity, asking, "Is this real?" McDonald's promises that it's the real deal.

"The McRib is more than a sandwich - it's a part of culture, it's a legend, it's an event," said McDonald's marketing exec Tariq Hassan in a statement. "McRib SZN is a holiday unto itself, so we wanted to embrace that spirit and give fans an even bigger way to celebrate this year with A Whole Lotta McRib Sauce."

Knowing it's not a joke or secret sweepstakes, internet users seem pretty pumped about trying to get their hands on a batch.

"Best news ever!!!!!!" one declared.

"I'm all for the sauce 😆," another Instagram user wrote, admitting they have big plans to use it already. "I could make real rib sandwiches with it 😋."

"I soo [sic] cannot wait until this comes back this is literally my favorite McDonald's sandwich of all time 🤤," one more gushed. "I will be eating these literally every day until The Limited time is over."

Those interested in purchasing the limited-edition jug to slather the sauce on everything they love will want to set an alarm, as it will only be available online through its official website when it drops on Monday, Nov. 25, at 10 a.m. ET.

But that's not all the beloved burger joint has in store this holiday season. Customers can also enjoy the fan-favorite Holiday Pie, an all-new frappe flavor, and, in select markets, its Chicken Big Mac and Spicy Chicken McNuggets-but only for a limited time.
